We are looking for a Database Administrator.

What you’ll do
As a DBA, you’ll have the following responsibilities:
- Ensuring optimal performance (Speed), availability, integrity and quality;
- Design and implement Backup and Restore strategy for all databases/servers;
- Design and implement authorization structure and monitor this;
- Pro-active and autonomous resolution of incidents;
- Consultancy and support for developers and Application Managers whose applications use the Database Infrastructure;
- Design, maintenance and availability of documentation and data models with respect to the Database Infrastructure.
Based on your experience, we will ask you to monitor and report on what you see as our needs and opportunities. You’ll also be responsible for configuring the availability, capacity and performance reports, as well as participating in IT projects.

What you’ll need
- HBO (higher vocational education) level
- Excellent knowledge of one or more of the following database platforms – Informix, Sybase or SQL Server
- Several years of experience working as a DBA
- Good knowledge of Unix/Linux and Windows
- Working knowledge of networking, clustering, DNS and Active Directory
- Excellent communication skills
- You must be accurate, analytical, decisive, a team player and be able to work effectively under pressure
